Who Doesnt Like Cake?


Simple yet Tasty Sponge Cake Recipe

You'll need: 2 cups flour, 1 cups sugar, 4 eggs, 1 and a quater cups of milk, 2 teaspoon baking powder, 2 teaspoons vanilla essence

How to make it into a cake:

1. Preheat the oven (around 175degrees and i use the fan sign)

2. Sift flour and baking powder (gune penapis bulat tu je if xde y specially for tepung; and if ada cream of tartar put 1 spoon cream of tartar and 1 spoon baking powder, sponge cake will be more fluffyy!)

3. Heat the milk using a microwave until its hot, but not until mendidih and all bubbles

4. Beat the egg until foam (using a mixer highly recommended since sponge cake mmg kene beat quite a time) and add sugar and beat the mixture until it becomes lemon coloured

5. When all seems dah foam and lemon coloured, slowly add hot milk in a stream

6. Quickly fold the flour

7. Bake for about 30mins (until u insert a knife or fork or bamboo stick and it comes out clean)

Serving suggestion: Can dust with icing sugar, whipped cream topped with fresh fruit, buttercream topping, cream cheese and strawberry, homemade fruit sauce, any kind of jams, melting chocolate sauce, or even vanilla icecream.Can be sliced into half and spread with favourite jams.

p/s: once i used a springform but it leaks due to the very lembik mixture, so just use a normal round cake tin.
